Overall, I think I had a clear concept and synergy throughout the slides whilst talking about the plan for the coursework. My favourite parts was the sketches I made for the drafts of the logo, drink and Tiktok. I think I covered all parts of the plan like audience, representations and industry. However, I could have went more in depth with some parts for example including conventions of a music video. I also needed to have more research on the blog before presenting and I should have looked more at the class rather than the board.

3) Write a paragraph discussing how your presentation will lead into your actual coursework production. Do you need to update your statement of intent? Does your concept offer enough clarity? Is it appropriate for the audience specified in the brief? Is it achievable to film with the resources you have available? Can you add media terminology or theory to your statement of intent now you have reflected on your presentation and seen others?

After seeing others, I know I should add more theory into my statement of intent. I think the presentation helped me to visualise the brand image overall and understand what I want to do for the website and TikToks (although I might make 4 videos instead of 3). Also, my statement intent is just under 500 words so I can add more to make it 500.

Sound analysis

1) Find a film clip on YouTube that uses sound in an interesting way. Analyse the use of sound, making sure you use the key language we have learned about sound in film: clip The clip is from the end scene of season one of Arcane therefore the  non-diegetic music is dramatic and builds up which is parallel   to the scene of Jinx shooting the rocket as the tension is also building up. The lyrics of the song are also paralle l to that scene since the line "I'm the monster you created" is related to Jinx's story in the show. In addition, there is a voice over from slice saying "we will show them, we will show them all" which is mostly non-diegetic as the other characters can't hear it and he isn't actually saying it in that moment however it's as though Jinx hears it so it could also be diegetic.  Furthermore, there are scenes of other characters that have dialogue to continue the plot which still has the music that better relates to the scene ...

Cinematography Analysis Task

Get Out - opening sequence 1/2)This whole scene is a 'oner' which is used to build tension and suspense for an audience as the whole scene feel like it lingers for too long, putting the audience in the characters shoes with the sense of uneasiness turned to fear. The first few frames of the sequence don't have the character in them yet, but his diegetic dialogue can be heard, it serves as an establishing shot for the dark, quiet street he is walking on. By already demonstrating the eerie setting, the first few seconds already make the audience feel tense and it introduces the genre of thriller right from the start. The shot is also a tracking shot facing towards the character to make him the main focus but also leaving space for darkness around him that builds more uneasiness.
